The transparent waters of the Anchieta Island are a good reason for going there, in a pleasing schooner ride. But it is not the unique choice. The island is rich in natural and even cultural attractives. There are the ruins of an old presidium, disabled in 1952, that today is a park attraction.

There are so much green around that it does not seem that it is next to the beach - to arrive there is necessary to walk through a footpath that crosses the hotel sandbank area, replete of different kinds of crabs.
